In Nae-myeon, Hongcheon, Gangwon Province - deep within layers of steep mountain ranges.
Following the winding road along the upper stream of the Naerincheon River, a small village suddenly reveals itself. Just when it seems unlikely that anyone could live this deep in the mountains, the village reveals itself quietly on a mountain pass. This is Saldun Village, a name that means “a hill where people can lean and live.”
In June 2026, Synthasia’s second open-air gathering will take place in Saldun Village.
In Saldun, sound does not easily disperse. Surrounded by mountains and forest, it lingers within the village. Nature becomes a place where sound stays, and music flows through the landscape.
Low frequencies travel through the ground. Rhythms blend with the breathing of the forest. Gradually, the boundary between stage and audience fades. Music becomes scenery, and we become part of it.
An intimate gathering where modern music meets ancient nature. Ambient sounds slow the sense of time. Rhythms connect people. Faster beats awaken the body and mind.
For a while, on this hill where sound lingers, we become part of the nature.
